Elisabeth’s paintings are largely oils on canvas; autobiographical, narrative, drawn from life they experience feeling and emotions invoked by the surrounding landscape that exists within, without. Behind every image is a profound story expressed in a secret way as to allow the viewer room for their own interpretation…

Elisabeth divides her time between Bath and the Outer Hebrides, a group of islands 40 miles off the coast of Skye with few inhabitants. It is on the isolated Island of North Uist that Elisabeth finds her inspiration with the wild deserted coastlines buffeted by the frequent storms and gales. The ever-changing skies and turquoise seas contrast obliquely with white sands revealed by the constant ebb and flow of the tides.

It is in this unique and rare environment that Elisabeth lives with her husband and two children.
