Art on the Map 2016

Studio Trail – 18th June to 9th July 2016

Associated events:-

The Uist Art Association is an artist-led organisation set up in 1988.  In 1995 it formed a partnership with North Uist Historical Society to establish Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum & Arts Centre in Lochmaddy, widely regarded as one of the leading community arts venues in Scotland.

In 2003 the Uist Art Association got together and created, organised and ran Art on the Map, an open studio trail throughout the Uists.

Now we welcome you to the 2016 event.  Taking part in the trail is an ideal way to see the amazing range of work from the creative people of the islands, to see the stunning scenery, and an opportunity to meet the artists and makers in person.  From South Uist through Benbecula and up to North Uist & Berneray – a truly inter-island event for the Southern Isles. Look out for the distinctive black and white signs around the islands!
